FAQ's

Can I install the ROKMEN TT without a Body lift?
No  - Installation can be done, however; it is no longer a bolt on installation. Common areas that may require adjustment are: Body clearance around the T-case, exhaust mount, and transmission bell housing as well as T-case shifter linkage.

What about protection for the Transmission?
The complimentary Rokmen Engine/Transmission skid plate will be available November 2009. It will be similar in design, coverage and protection to the 03-06 skid plates.

Do I need a CV Drive Shaft? Can I get one through ROKMEN?
Because the 97-02 Jeep TJ's came with the NP231 and Slip Yoke we recommend using a Slip Yoke Eliminator and CV drive shaft when the TT is used in conjunction with 2"+ suspension lifts. In either case adjustable control arms are recommended to be able bring your drive shaft in phase and eliminate any vibrations.

What about exhaust clearance near the upper passenger control arm?
This is common with all high clearance belly pans - Your jeep may require minor modification of the exhaust near the front passenger upper control arm for clearance. We have seen vehicles that have not required this, and ones that have. A quick trip to an exhaust shop after installation or sometimes just modification to the exhaust bracket at the transmission (bending it down it by 1/2") has provided the required clearance with no need for further modification.
